You can create an Echo in two ways:
Tap the “+” in the centre of the navigation bar to open the Echo creation interface immediately.
Alternatively, tap the “+” below your profile photo in the top-left corner of the Home screen to access the same Echo interface.
What is an Echo?
An Echo is a short-form content feature within Scenic designed for immediacy and connection. Unlike routes, which provide detailed itineraries, or posts, which allow for long-form storytelling, an Echo focuses on the here and now.
With an Echo, you can:
- Share an image, video, or short thought in real time.
- Highlight moments from your current journey without building a full route.
- Connect instantly with your Travel People and the wider Scenic community.
The purpose of an Echo is to keep your experiences alive and discoverable, each one acts as a signal, resonating outward and inviting engagement.
How to Use Echos.
Echos are versatile and can support different use cases depending on your adventure and travel style. Here are a few ways to get started:
Real-Time Highlights
Drop an Echo during your route to share a view, an observation, or a quick update. Perfect for moments you don’t want to lose in the flow of travel.
Community Connection
Use Echos to stay in touch with your Travel People. They’ll see what you’re experiencing, even if they’re not physically on the journey with you.
Discovery & Visibility
Your followers exploring the app will find your Echo at the top of the home screen where they can engage with it.
Engagement & Inspiration
Every Echo supports likes, comments, and shares, making it a natural entry point for others to connect with you. Small updates can inspire bigger conversations and journeys.
Complement to Routes
Use Echos alongside your planned routes. While routes tell the full story of your journey, Echos capture the spontaneous, unplanned highlights along the way.
With Echos, Scenic empowers you to share the pulse of your journey, quickly, authentically, and with the people who matter most.
